I'm currently researching and writing a license agreement. It's so confusing! Part of me wants to just release the images and say, do whatever you want with them. But I actually don't want my images to be used as finished works in and of themselves. I hope for them to be used as a starting off point, reference, or resource. So I'm trying to craft something that says, "use the work to make your own art (derivative work) and then use the resultant art however you want!"
Or maybe I'll ditch the legalese and just use that.
I want artists to be able to truly use my work. I know from doing my own illustrations that so so so much time and creativity can go into creating art. If an artist is using my images as a reference and they create something amazing, I want them to be able to sell their work.
Bear with me while I sort everything out. For now, premium images come with the standard personal/non-commercial license which can be replaced at a later date with a more liberal one currently under development.
I hope everyone is doing well out there in DA land.
